We were seated at a the roof terrace. Loved the ambience. The restaurant is located in a historical building which houses a hammam (Turkish bath) with a courtyard. The layout of the whole place is interesting. The food was amazing and service was good. The price was reasonable for the food, but I found the drinks were a bit on the high side. Overall a great experience!

There are no words to describe the amazing food that we have been served in this place. The cocktails were amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was beautiful. We would highly recommend this place for a fine dining experience!!!

Exceptional! A stunning restaurant set inside a quirky building with a luxury spa. The small rooms add a romantic feel to the setting with comfy chairs and beautiful decorations. The service is impeccable as were the sublime cocktails. Make sure you have at least one,, they are heaven. Good advice on the wines which are almost entirely Turkish. We opted for a Pinot noir at a reasonable price £35 which matched with all of the courses. Canapés are served complimentary as were a sorbet and an additional dessert. The sweetbreads were fabulous and matched so well with the green pepper sauce and roasted red pepper. Followed by lamb two ways and I was in heaven! My partner had Seabass for a main and was equally as positive. Then desserts and a pistachio dish with crisp filo that was divine. The chocolate orange that we were given was also excellent. Rounded off with a glass of Tawny port and all was good in the world. Highly recommended and I would come back to Istanbul just to eat here!

Phenomenal dining experience and very attentive service. We went for the tasting menu. Each dish was spot on, the seabass and the lamb shish were at another level. The ambience is great indoors and outdoors. We have been served by Mostafa and he made sure our experience would be way above expectation. This is by all means the best experience I have had in Istanbul.

Had 3 cocktails - while delicious they were not exceptional. All dishes were also mediocre - I did enjoy the beef cheek which resembles a Shepard pie. They gave us a free dessert and a gift bag (soap and lotion from the Hamam portion).

Lokanta 1741 didn’t live up to our expectations, to say the least, especially given its Michelin affiliation. The atmosphere was a far cry from what their website shows, unless you’re seated on the terrace. Otherwise you’re relegated to a dark and danky looking cellar. Service felt rushed and not quite up to par. The food was average at best. Our appetizer consisted of three small, undercooked hamburger patties accompanied by a few large beans and a pistachio paste that looked a lot like peanut butter. As for the main courses, the meager lamb pieces were mostly fat, and the beef shank was little more than tiny shreds of beef covered in mashed potatoes. No bread, no condiments, and the flavor was just okay. In a city as vibrant and flavorful as Istanbul, dining here felt like a giant missed opportunity. Literally the worst meal we’ve had in Turkey.

Romantic setting with several choices of dining areas, inside and out. Yes, the Hamman Turkish bath is associated but not required and appeared very nice. The restaurant service was attentive, professional and pleasant with helpful advice. We tried several starters: circasian chicken, artichoke, chard and lamb skewers for our entree- all were superbly prepared and tasty. Try the special drinks to start. A cold soup is offered to cleanse pallets and lentil salad before the main meal. A nice Turkish Syrah by glass was excellent . One of our best meals in a special place - Michelin recommended.

Good atmosphere and unique surrounding when you stay at the terrace by the sunset which is the best time - very beautiful, peaceful and accompanied with great food. I enjoyed almost all food and drinks. For me only sauce with fish starter was extremely salted which I couldn’t finish. The rest was good enough. Recommended to friends.
